A painter, printmaker and teacher, Inshaw studied at the Royal Academy Schools, 1963-66. His first solo show was at the Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol in 1969, shortly followed by another at Dartington Hall in Devon. In 1972 he exhibited with Graham & Ann Arnold, and this trio with four others formed the Brotherhood of Ruralists in 1975. In that year Inshaw had a one-man show with Waddington Galleries, which went on to represent him. He showed a painting of Silbury Hill in the John Moores Exhibition, Liverpool, 1991-92. Inshaw’s exhibition ‘Moments of Vision’ was held at Agnews in 2004. The Arts Council holds his work.
